For God So Loved the World

Happy Easter, everyone. I wish everyone had a meaningful holiday spent with loved ones and remembered what a wonderful gift we received from our loving father in heaven. I didn’t attend Sunday service (I actually haven’t gone in so many, many months) so I streamed a worship service online. I hope that counts but I must say that the message was indeed a blessing.

Shortly after, my little bunny and I had a simple brunch. I made fluffy scrambled eggs for Unakin and drizzled some honey on her waffles. I had the latter, too only with plain yogurt and I made myself a nice hefty smoked salmon eggs benedict topped with hollandaise sauce. I was thrilled to learn this blender made version and that was why I decided to go for eggs benedict for this occasion. I will share the recipe at another post.

And just like last year, Una ended up solo easter egg hunting for the exact same reason for my friend’s no show. She still had a good old time looking for the colorful eggs. I guess she was a little disappointed Aaron, my friend’s son didn’t show up but it’s nothing that a bar of Milky Way can’t take care of. This might lead to emotional eating habits later on in life but I wish not to delve on that right now.🙂

All in all, it was a nice quiet weekend. I really wouldn’t mind if we were in the Philippines surrounded by family while we all sweat in the sweltering heat of summer. But I am more thankful now than I ever was. I hope everyone feels the same.

God bless us all!

  1. I love everything about this post Janis!

The pictures turned out to be so great. It’s like seeing those classic Hallmark cards. The breakfast table is perfect for Easter. How I wish I was invited to taste my favorite waffles, orange slices and healthy salmon.

Your daughter by the way is so pretty too! Have a great week ahead!🙂

    • Awww…thanks! that means so much to me. Every post means a lot to me, each has its own story. So it really is a big deal when people take the time to stop for a moment for a quick peek let alone to see and appreciate the things that mean so much to me. Thanks so much! I hope you’re having a great week, too.
